You're Eating Our Food Today because of 18 Phone Calls and an Interrupted Beer during the 3rd Frame of League Bowling in 2000...
You could almost say that Crispino's was founded sometime around July/August 2000. Almost, but that wouldn't be fair to the whole story. Imagine a couple of guys meeting out of 'forced convenience', getting to know one another just a little bit, going in to business with one another, and then circumstances make one of them move because of a transfer. They have completely different backgrounds, interests, and in most cases, likes, BUT, after a couple of years of not really talking at all, they get back together for a day (really for just an afternoon). The relationship, and their business interest is re-kindled and things go well for 4-5 years. Sometime around 2007, things started to change, and by 2008, both of them knew that they could do well together, but not with the business model they had been using.
Imagine a guy who grew up with a father that worked as a chemist for DuPont, who had a Broadcasting background and who had worked for CNN, and was also a Professional Boy Scout, meeting up with a guy who grew up in a Real Estate family and had become an Executive Chef and had been in food for a quarter century. Sounds kinda like the Odd Couple, don't it?
With some of that said, we didn't buy a restaurant in Belize at the end of 2012 - we bought Crispino's instead, and it was probably the best thing either one of us has ever done...we just haven't convinced ourselves...yet. (kidding!!)
Crispino's Pizza (and the 'Rest of the Story') is family-owned and operated right here in Morehead City, NC. We can honestly say that we offer you quality Food, Service, and Choices that you just can't find anywhere else. We're a Pizzaria, but not a 'pizza joint'. We've got Pizza, but we're not an Italian place. We're Pizza, Subs, Salads, Sammitches, and a Sense of Humor. We're Professionals. We're the best at what we do in this part of the Country...PERIOD. We're serving Humanity one Slice at a time. Come on by and share a little Slice of your day with us!!!!
